This trip started out a little rough beginning in Dulles International Airport where we first realized that we misread our flight information due to confusion over the international dateline and had a 24 hour layover in the Tokyo suburb of Narita, Japan. Ooops. So, I'll be honest. We didn't really see much of Japan other than a brief busride to a hotel. Some observations of Narita Japan:
1. The Japanese drive on the left side of the road.
2. Heavy lifting machinery comes in periwinkle and seafoam green and cute bubbly shapes that look like they are straight out of a Japanese cartoon.
3. There are lots of policemen just hanging out for no apparent reason.
4. The Hotel Chapel Christmas is most bizarre hotel ever.
Hotel Chapel Christmas was NOT our hotel, but this blurry one here is the view from our hotel. Needless to say, Hotel Chapel Christmas was a LOT cheaper than where we stayed.
5. It's true: Japan has beer in vending machines.
